Taking care of athletes during and after their sports career

Power Corporation understands the importance of providing funding for young athletes while they pursue a career in sports and at the same time have to combine that with their studies. That is why we are proud to support the Fondation Aléo (formerly the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec), which provides promising student athletes with bursaries to alleviate their financial burden and assist them both during and after their careers in sport.

Often faced with challenges in balancing sport and school – and the risk of dropping out – student athletes benefit from financial support and a personalized approach to guide their academic and sports development. To do so, the Fondation Aléo focuses on providing support to student athletes in the Rising Star, Elite and Excellence categories, as well as those in the Quebec Student Sport Network (the RSEQ).

In order to facilitate their post-athletic career transition, the Fondation Aléo also offers its bursary recipients support services that include mentoring, career guidance, help in drafting a CV, and paid or unpaid internships. All in all, the Fondation Aléo is a family that takes care of its athletes in their sports, at school, and in life in general.
