Championing Montréal's artistic excellence

Montréal is a major cultural metropolis, celebrated both locally and internationally for its vibrant artistic scene. Since 1956, artists as well as the production and broadcasting organizations from Montréal have benefited from the unfailing support of the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM), which assists them in their creative process, notably through direct and indirect financial aid, advisory services, training activities, prizes, and studio rentals. The supported organizations operate in diverse sectors, including circus arts, digital arts, visual arts, film and video, dance, literature, music, new artistic practices, and theatre.

The CAM aims to be recognized as a leader and catalyst in shaping a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient arts ecosystem in Montréal for the benefit of all residents. To better reflect Montréal's rich artistic diversity, the CAM has set a significant objective for 2025: to allocate 25% of its financial resources to underrepresented groups within its priority clienteles.

With the support of partner organizations like Power Corporation, the CAM will strengthen the city’s cultural vitality by continuing to unite the cultural, municipal, and economic communities, propelling Montréal’s artistic evolution forward.
