Institutions Saving Lives Through Research

Teams at the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Centre jumped into action to develop knowledge related to COVID-19 in adults and children, conducting over 40 research projects.

As the healthcare establishment managing the highest number of infectious diseases in Canada, the Jewish General Hospital and its Centre of Excellence in Infectious Diseases are at the forefront of research, testing, and treatment, as well as the discovery of new pathogens.

The Research Institute of the MUHC’s 446 researchers and 1,184 students published in 2020 and 2021 over 1,900 scientific publications and contributed to several innovative projects to help in the fight against COVID-19.
